Heart of Texas Dachshunds began with one very special little dog: Lua, our miniature red smooth-haired dachshund. What started simply as loving life with Lua grew into the decision to thoughtfully raise her first litter and share the joy, personality, and companionship that make dachshunds so special.

Located in Round Rock, Texas, our puppies are raised right in our home as part of the family - not in a kennel. From their very first days, they receive hands-on care, affection, and attention in a loving home environment.

Our goal is simple: to raise happy, well-cared-for puppies and thoughtfully place them with families who will love them for a lifetime. We believe bringing home a puppy is about much more than choosing the cutest face - it’s about finding the right companion and being prepared for the commitment that comes with them.

As Lua welcomes her first litter, we're excited to share this experience with the families who will eventually become part of their story.
